About Us

Ascend Hairdressing is a luxury bespoke hair salon based in Northumberland. Opening in summer 2019, owner Drew wanted to create a different salon experience focusing on 1 to 1 hairdressing and affordable luxury to guests. We focus on client wellbeing and sourcing the best colour range and products to suit all clients needs. Our products are sustainable, cruelty free, and vegan friendly. Drew has spent over 18 years working as a business development manager and educator for global hair brands and decided to bring this knowledge and passion to Ascend salon guests.

Since opening the team and business has grown at a rapid rate, not only winning national awards for colouring and hair extensions, but also growing a small team of passionate talented individuals.


DREW
Drew is the owner and founder of Ascend Hairdressing. With over 18 years of industry experience working in business development, education and behind the chair in salon. Drew wanted to create a relaxed space that focuses on affordable luxury, using the best sourced products, and move away from multi client ‘conveyor belt’ hairdressing, in order to create beautiful for his clients, but most importantly, an amazing client experience.


TOM
Tom is our newly qualified hairdresser and his raw talent is off the scale! Tom has a passion for freehand balayage, styling, luxury treatments and blowdrys and is also a precision cutter already! Although Tom is at the start of his hair journey, he has already built up a strong following and client base.


HEATHER
The queen of hair extensions!! Heather is our hair extension specialist, she offers all methods of hair fitting, including Ultratips, Nano ring, Micro ring, Pre-bonded, Tape hair & Weave fitting. Heather shares our passion for excellence and sources the finest, ethically sourced hair that lasts and stays in amazing condition for up to 12 months, making sure your hair looks great all year round.
